Turkey's Foreign Minister has arrived in `Baku, Azerbaijan's capital, for talks as the conflict between Islamic Azerbaijan and its Christian Orthodox neighbour, Armenia, intensifies over the disputed territory of Nagorno Karabakh.
Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said;
"We are once again in Baku with our brothers to renew our string support for Azerbaijan...
Cavusoglu's visit comes after Armenia, Azerbaijan's enemy in the conflict, requested security support from Russia, invoking a defence pact between the two.
The Armenian/Russian defence pact does not extend to the territory of Nagorno Karabakh, which is an Armenian enclave inside Azerbaijan, but Moscow has said that if the conflict does reach Armenian territory, assistance will be given.
