Police have arrested a suspect following the multiple stabbings in Birmingham city centre which left one man dead and seven others injured, two critically.
A man was arrested early on Monday morning on suspicion of murder. The 27-year-old was arrested in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham area of the city at about 04:00 BST, West Midlands Police said.
The multiple attacks took place at four different places across the city centre area on Sunday morning, soon after midnight.
West Midlands Police released footage of the suspect who, unconfirmed reports suggest, is a black Somalian male. His immigration and residency status is not yet publicly known.
